Brainerce's Google Integration

Brainerce is a headless commerce platform for online stores. When a merchant connects their Google account from the Brainerce dashboard, we request access only to the Google services needed for the specific features they choose to enable — never more, and never automatically at sign-in.

What each connection does

• Google Merchant Center. Syncs the merchant's own product catalog to their own Google Merchant Center account (create, update, and remove product listings) so their products can appear in Google Shopping.
• Google Ads. Creates and manages Shopping and Performance Max advertising campaigns in the merchant's own Google Ads account — setting budgets, and pausing, resuming, or removing campaigns — and reports performance (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) inside the Brainerce dashboard. Because the Google Ads API cannot attach a payment method to an account it creates, Brainerce invites the merchant's own Google account as a user on the newly created Ads account, so the merchant adds their own billing directly with Google.
• Google Analytics (GA4). Creates a Measurement Protocol API secret on the merchant's own GA4 property via the Analytics Admin API, so Brainerce can send server-side purchase-conversion events for completed orders. This is write-only — Brainerce never reads or exports GA4 report data.
• Account identification. Uses the connecting Google account's email address to show the merchant which account is linked, and for nothing else.

How access is granted

Brainerce uses incremental authorization: a merchant is asked to grant a Google permission only at the moment they click to enable that specific feature (for example, "Connect Merchant Center"), never all at once during sign-in. A merchant can disconnect at any time from their dashboard, which also revokes Brainerce's access on Google's side.

Your data

All actions described above act only on the data of the Google account that authorized the connection. Brainerce never accesses data belonging to any other merchant or Google account. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
